i loose confidence with OCZ SDD.
The first one is fast, but had problem.
after changed, it worked ok so far (a week), but it is not that fast.
My regular SATA HDD can get windows rating of 5.9, and this one is only 6.9, not worth it to spend that much money for something not really better.
For the same price you can get 2 one TB hard drives.
I purchased this SSD and have had it for 5 months. I first had Windows XP on it and it ran well with a core duo (sata1). Now I have it with a AMD Turion X2 (sata2) running Windows 7. The laptop boots much faster than with the 500GB drive it came with. It loads applications faster and never has any odd delays. I highly recommend a SSD for having your OS installed on if you want the best performance and quickest loading times...especially if you are running a laptop. It will really make coming out of standby a breeze.
The OCZ Vertex Plus has an Indilinx chipset, which is now owned by OCZ. This is not a top of the line chipset now, but it does perform well and supports TRIM and RAID. If you want a good SSD for the money, this is a excellent choice.
