Today only. Sears is offering an oil change for $12. Oil change can be scheduled through April 30th. Filter excluded, must be purchased at the time of oil change; no disposal or shop fees.
Who ever heard of an oil change that didn't include the filter? Makes you wonder what else is excluded, like putting the drain plug back in? Not that I would trust Sears to do a quality job anyway, but some things just are not worth skimping on, and an expensive engine is one of them.
I'd estimate the filter is about $5 to $8, so to put this in perspective it's a $17 to $20 oil change.
If you drive a lil 4 banger that has low oil capacity it isn't a deal, but with motor oil currently at $4 a quart without rebate, anyone who needs 4 qt or more will be paying very little to not have to DIY.
Let me guess.....the oil filter is $15, right?
Like they ever replace the filter.
Always put a check mark on your filter before change to be sure.
