Hotness UNHOT
We normally stay away from current events, but this one caught our attention quite literally since we're in SF. During lunch I tried to catch a glimpse of the torch along its planned route starting at AT&T Park, however much to my dismay the authorities whisked it away from the protesting throngs to a backup route. Some pics: 1 2 3 4 5 6.

I hate Shitna, and I hate Shitna even more after they claimed to be doing street cleaning in Tibet with armored tanks.

#20, don't be that optimistic. Aren't you guys forgetting Kent State Massacre in 1970? Protest is not always safe and sound for Americans.

for those who's never been to China, not to mention the Tibet part of China, please kindly shut up! You don't even know what's like in China and how can you make judgments?
and #18, for your information, there was no Chinese tank present in Tibet city because the road in Tibet can't support it. The only thing close is the armed personnel carrier for the police, which is the same you saw in New Orleans during Katrina. And no Monk was killed by been rolled over by anything. Instead, some rough elements among those monks set fire on civilian buildings and vehicles, killing dozens of innocent people, including women and children.

In ancient Greece, if two or more Greek city-states happen to be at war with each other when the olympic game date arrived, war was halted for the duration of the games.

#16, #9 can say pretty much what he wants because we have the freedom of speech granted by the First Amendment. Many have fought and died to protect our freedoms.

    So su=ck it.

    oh and

Two wrongs don't make a right, but two rights makes a u-turn.

#5 - Are you a little bit harsh toward #4?
Where did you obtain the human rights record from? Chinese press?
Everybody hates USA, but privately they're craving our way of life, culture, etc... (Not necessary our GM/Chrysler brand)

OMG, #18, you must have plotted a long time for your first post.
You have done a great job to sabotage this topic. Either you are some naive hypocritic self-righteous jerk who got brain washed by whoever supports so-called free tibet or you are just one of those guys hiding in the shadow and spitting venom towards Chinese.

We need to deal with our own problems in the US before we can even think to change the China/Tibet situation. Besides, the Olympics shouldn't have anything to do with protests. This is the only activity in the world that has brought all countries together regardless of conflicts to compete in a fair(aside from steroids) and respectful manner. This is one competition where people get along regardless of what country they are from.

For #25, you are dead on. I don't know what that guy was talking about. Obviously someone who has never been and spent some time there.

Everyone had rights to speak but pls get more aspect of facts b4 make up your mind. Political things not always true just like after 911 everyone want revenue and attack Iraq and bring more death. I saw Utube video and saw people violently attack others body and property. I strongly against violent express opinion. We could always doubt whether authority should use strong force crackdown those criminal.
