nice camera but I prefer the DSLRs from Olympus which start at about $200 higher than this but make a huge difference as you get the benefits of exchanging lenses.
You can get the E520 for $450.
This is a P&S and is somewhat compact, so comparing it to a dslr is a waste of time.
I have a SP-560UZ w/18x optical and its a nice camera, I dare to say it has too many features as most are just for fun.
I have it for when I dont want to pack around my dslr which is roughly twice the size.
You can pick up a good used Sp-xxx from ebay for a 1/3 of this price, unless you NEED the 26x optical zoom which is very nice. Be prepared to use XD cards or buy the adapter for MicroSDs.
