This seems like the lowest price yet for this one.

i want to start a petition for less megapixels in digital cameras. these tiny cameras with 10 mp, it's just stupid, the tiny lenses cant support that resolution.

What an ugly camera, almost the same design as Sony T70, but Olympus made it look like a tank.

the only reason anyone would buy an Olympus camera is for a reason like the waterproofness. I looked at a waterproof case for my Canon; it's almost the same price as this waterproof camera.

my first olympus was weatherproof. don't think these cams can produce good imagee quality under water. it's good for rain, snow, fog. ...freezeproof - that's new )) beat that, canon nikon sony fuji kodak!

"Free 2GB MicroSD"??? olympus switched to sd cards?

Not as easy to use as canon or kodak's and they usually do not get the greatest reviews at consumer reports.

This is a great camera for camping trip, when you are in a canoe, in a boat or in rain. Best of all, just throwing the camera into fish tank to show off to your friends. :p

This is a good deal for an ok camera. I like this design where in the lens doesn't pop out every time you want to take a picture. I wish canon SD series were like this.

But its Washer and Dryer proof. Its been confirmed by quite a few people that this camera really can take a beating. But its not the best in picture quality. But better than having a dead camera because of water.

I have an older model, the 770SW and I love it.
Swimming with the stingrays was pretty cool with this camera. People were concerned when I jumped in the water with it hanging from my wrist.
I love the ruggedness. Stick it in my back pocket and don't worry about a thing.
The pic quality is good enough for me. But I'm just your "average" digital picture taker.

It appears its only good for the champagne colored one - NewEgg has other colors - has anyone been successful at getting the other colors at this price on there..? I tried for the blue with no success.

Great if you have kids - this camera has been dropped on the ground, dropped in water, etc. Pictures are only so-so, however.

Clarification to #19 -- I have an earlier version of this camera, not the 1050.
