      This is currently one of the best if not the best compact point and shoot camera. The different between this camera and others top of the line compact like canon s95/panasonic lx5, is that this has a f1.8-2.5 4x zoom lens. Without boring you with the details, this camera is faster and shoot better in low light condition (no flash) than others.

      I have a sony TX7 and it's small and slim. shooting pictures are fast and better in low light too. Plus, it has a 1080i video record.

      @thematrix: That's nice, but the sensor in this XZ-1 has almost twice the area of the sensor in your TX7. That makes it better in low light conditions and means it will be able be easier to make backgrounds out of focus for artistic effect.

      Not saying there's anything wrong with small sensors - in good light, they're often better for macro shots, for example - but there is a big difference between your camera and this one, and that's why they're priced differently.
