I bought one a couple of weeks ago as well. I used it heavily one day and it worked just fine. My only complain is that its auto start does not kick in until you shove the paper well inside the paper slot. If you have smaller pieces of paper (like receipts), it is harder to get it in and get the shredder going.

Staples has improved their low-end shredders a lot over the last several years. My new one is vastly superior to my old one at the same cost. Much more heavy duty. Just be careful with the little plastic spines that activate the mechanism. If they break you're l
