I need to know how good this unit is... Good price for a 4.3 inch screen.... I am only concerned about loading and route recalculation time....
Its all good for you then. The only bad things about this unit is the touch screen. Its not calibrate correctly so when you touch one place it register somewhere else-close to the point but may not be close enough. Could be only my unit but I know others on the net got the same problem. If you hack it then you get a little problem with that. Also it was on sale for less. I got my for $55. It was less than $70 a couple weeks ago.
These should be new units-the older have problem with long startup time (looking for satelites) mine boot up and find where it is within 15 seconds most of the times. A couple times it took a few minutes but I don't know why, maybe it was cloudy.
I have one of these and compared to the many other GPS devices I have used it compares favorably. Mine came with Destinator 8 installed and it's not sluggish, either starting up or recalc'ing. Older units had Destinator 7, which may have been the root of some slowness.
