I do NOT recommend this, I have it and the learning capability is limited to only about 1-2 dozen key presses (which could mean less than a half-dozen keys using combinations). Very limiting.

This is NOT a deal! It's this price regularly and on eBay for the same all the time.

Also, according to the manual it can only learn 4 keys! L1-L4.
Same with macros, it only stores 4 M1-M4

It would make a great backup controller or a dedicated long distance remote for another room however because of the the RF capabilities.

I might get one to keep in my garage so I don't worry about mucking up my good URC.

They can learn almost any key, there are only a couple that can't be taught. You can teach the remote more functions using the advanced functions, which they will e-mail if you ask for them, than with learning. Between the two, you can teach about 60 or more functions. These are great remotes for the price.

Like #3 said. You can program nearly every key. The problem is the memory. You'll hit a wall if you try to reprogram too many. Since it's a learning remote, there are few devices you can't teach it to control. It can be pretty complicated to set up though.

Pretty good price but I paid around $80 4-5 years ago. Mine wore out eventually.

They hold more advanced functions than they do learned functions. Almost all codes have advanced functions they will e-mail if you ask for them. They can be programmed to any key you want using keymover.

With a jp1 cable and a computer, you can program almost any number of keys. I have six devices reprogrammed entirely by using learning capabilities and moved to desired key using jp1.

I think you can get a jp1 cable from ebay.

      Look it up: http://www.hifi-remote.com/jp1/
