I actually used my free Shoprunner membership last night at GNC. Got free two day shipping. Saved me about $7 bucks. Not to shabby.

First you have to give it complete access your email at Yahoo and Gmail, then it wants complete access to your Facebook account including the right to post as you. After that you can only get the free shipping if you invite a friend to join Shopprunner.

After joining it immediately starts farming you account. Every purchase you made within the last year using that Yahoo, Gmail, or Facebook shows up. They post what they want to your Facebook then all that info about you belongs to them forever. Even if you cancel in 10 seconds it theirs.

Cancelling is fun. You "request" and account deletion. Request? No, I want, as in demand. Its not an option for you to consider. The request never seems to send, but don't worry it can take up to 24 hours. What? OH!!! You need more time to make sure you farmed my information, posted on Facebook, then sold the info to every retailer along with my e-mail.

Free got very expensive and very invasive.

ShopRunner is great but I can't believe I paid $80 for it. The week after I paid they started giving it away for free every other day.

#1 What's so great about it? Great is when it's easy, clear terms, not a bunch of hoops to jump through and so forth.
Also, this isn't even close to being free. Not costing money isn't the only thing that constitutes being "free"

johng333 - Great info. So many terms and conditions your head will explode.

    Simply a horrific listing Ben.

you can revoke access under gmail settings, under the import/export tab then click other gmail account settings and it will list all the 3rd party accesses. I dunno what this will do as far as they are concerned but its faster than trying to cancel their service.

    Ohh....bad deal! Run away!

I keep all my purchases in my email, and it started gathering EVERYTHING Ihave purchased,
    streamed to a long list.

I don't care if it is for a ticket to spam h*ll or just being dumped into he great
database in the sky, selling my private info is wrong.

I should have known better. [slaps forehead].
