Did this last year and used it around 10 times. Great if you have kids because of TRU, and also Newegg. Used it at NFLshop.com this xmas as well.
Do you need to give them a credit card for the free year so they can charge you on day 366?

Signed up last year, the only thing I used it for was free Dominos delivery, but used it a LOT. Not enough to make the annual price worthwhile, but they are expanding the program and might get there eventually. No credit card and free for a year. What's not to like???

ShopRunner has definitely been useful when I ordered Dominos Pizza and during the rare cases when ordering from NewEgg and the item has a shipping fee but is free when using ShopRunner. It was very handy when I had to return an item back to NewEgg because NewEgg does not cover return shipping (in that case, it was free to ship back because ShopRunner was used for the purchase).
My free trial expires this Jan 2013, and I've definitely used it a lot - buying a ton of stuff from newegg. Their service is great!

My free shoprunner account expires at the end of this year as well, so far my Shipping Saved is $210 and Time Saved is 5 hrs 0 mins according to shoprunner website. I'm in for another year for free!
I typically do over $10k buying things through the Egg for my business. Needless to say, the service has helped efficiency tremendously with the 2 day shipping. My year is up next month, so this is great timing!
I had the free trial from last year, but most of the stuff I ordered was from Newegg and it already had free shipping. Plus, I noted that the "2-day shipping" was UPS ground every time, and most of the time it took 3-4 business days instead of 2.
They give you the option of sharing your shoprunner membership. Can you share a free membership and have it still be free for those you shared it with? And if so, at any time or only during the free promo period?
