I've read photography magazines in the past. They don't contribute much (if anything) towards improving my photography, but they do constantly make me feel my photographic equipment is inadequate and I should upgrade all the time. It's all about "look how much better the new model is better than what you have". $5 is too expensive - they should pay me to read this.
