I really like PopSci, but their renewal practices are suspect. It also was not easy to end my subscription. It reminded me of AOL years ago when you had to call them and almost beg to be let go as a customer.

I will probably subscribe again in the future, but only after they change these annoyances.

#2, you're actually protected, as the consumer, from unauthorized renewal of your subscription. They can send out all the bills they want, you're not liable if you didn't authorize it. Just write CANCEL on one bill, and send it back. If they continue to send you magazines, it's on their dime, not yours (had this happen before, they finally called me about it, and I read them the riot act....they apologized, and gave me the rest of that year's subscription, no charge).

#5 will opt for the NG magazine so he can see African boo-bees!

#2, I used AOL free for over two years because they kept giving me an extra 1 to 3 months free after my free trial ended and I called to cancel. I milked it for all it was worth.
