    If you have a THPC do you really need a receiver? Wouldn't just an amp do?

    Depends on your THPC, you can throw one of those PC specific 5.1 setups on it and be okay. Depends on size of the room and the results that you are looking for.

    All receivers run hot. Onkyo has always made quality products. People who have not had experience with high end receivers will think they run hot. This is normal. Great deal with the free dock!
