Calling Onkyo users... had yours ever shutdown b/c the sound is too loud or other weird sound?
I have the Karaoke system hook up to my Onkyo and the kids were screaming into the mic... and the Onkyo went into standby. LOL Honestly I would love to say it's broken.
So if I'm a Dom, I can get two Subs with this receiver?
#1 I've had mine overheat once and It did that. You sure you didnt hit receiver then power on the the remote
This is an ok deal.. I'm hoping insane onkyo deals come out again this fall, but then again they lost thier number one box sales outlet (CCity) and do not seem to have a new national B&M store to sell through as of yet..
Too loud, yes. This is because there was a short in a speaker beacuse the power was too much for it to handle. This caused your Onkyo to go into safe mode. One of your speakers or a crossover almost fried. Or you could have a loose connection causing the receiver to work harder a higher levels causing it to go into safe mode. Sell your kids and buy better speakers or check your connections.
The TXSR706B on Newegg is $499 after promo code 'RECEIVER8115'. Not bad, considering the same receiver was listed here for $549 a few weeks ago.
pioneer much better vsx-1019ah-k is better than both onkyo models !
