NewEgg.com has the Onkyo HT-S3100 5.1 Receiver/Speaker System for $250 - $10 code EMCLPNR57 [Exp 3/30] = $240 with free shipping. Includes a 5.1-channel receiver, 5 surrounding speaker and a subwoofer.
Dolby Digital EX, Dolby Digital, ProLogic II, DTS Neo6, DTS ES, DTS, and DTS 96/24
the PT 760. At time you can find it in the $300 range and it is a solid option with an included 6 disk changer, hdmi output and wireless rear speakers. GL
Agreed with 4 and 5. If you want proper speakers, you get wired speakers. Besides, even without the cable from the receiver, wireless rears still require power...so it's not like you're getting by without cables.
Very good HTIB, set it up in my bedroom and it is more than sufficient. However, I got it at shoponkyo.com (refurb) for only ~$140 shipped, which imo is an awesome deal. The refurb looks basically brand new minus a few barely noticeable scuffs on the speakers. Really sounds great using my optical digital audio cable (but yeah, no HDMI, oh well).
No HDMI and wired rear speakers
What's a good cheap option for wireless rear speakers?

Wireless speakers suck. Haven't found a good set yet.
Wireless speakers just don't have the push wired speakers do. Just not enough power.
