Onkyo? I once heard a pig in Harlem say that.

Pretty good deal. It does have 3 HDMI ports, which is the minimum I personally recommend on receivers. Looks like it includes speakers, which is awesome even if they aren't the best quality. If you want better sound, though, I'd recommend getting the components seperately.

I just got this for $214 refurbished from a link off ben's. The deal is expired.

I'm satisfied. I do think the speakers are ugly. The Ipod dock is built for an older iPod. It does control some navigation on the iPod Touch with its universal remote. The remote is also good enough for me to use only it for operating the stereo, TV, DVD and iPod.

The HDMI ports are "pass through" meaning that you still have to connect digital or analog audio wires to the receiver in addition to the HDMI cable.

It comes with a cool microphone that help to automatically adjust the speakers.

I really like the features of the receiver overall.

I was considering getting this system a few weeks ago and ended up getting the yamaha YHT390BL instead. Both are HTIBs with pass-through (if you want something to decode audio through HDMI you probably need a more expensive AVR, separate from a system like this). This is a good deal for the system, but I read some reviews on amazon that mentioned it had some weird buzzing sound and that there was a pretty high rate of malfunctioning AVRs from Onkyo. The reviews there are helpful, so read em before dropping $400 on a system. I got my HTIB for basically the same price and it comes with fewer features and is only 5.1 but i'm happy with it and my place is small so a 7.1 system would be overkill anyway. Make sure to by your own 16-gauge speaker wire and not to spend more than a few bucks on a v1.3 category 2 HDMI cable for your connections.

Consumer reports does rate this HTIN as the highest. Number 2 is a Sony but it's not rated close to this one, and the Sony gets a bump because it's more affordable. This stereo was reviews at a price of $600, and was still their top choice.

      No buzzing with my system.
