Amazon has the Onkyo TX-NR616 7.2-Channel THX Select2 Plus Certified Network A/V Receiver, Black (2012 model) for $349 with free shipping. Features eight HDMI inputs / 2 outputs, wireless-ready home networking (with optional UWF-1), direct digital connection of iPod/iPhone. Newegg has it for $1 more.
Would grab this but too many bad reviews. Plus I already got bit with my 705. Dolby issues, heat issues.....no help from Onkyo...
I have an old Onkyo 787 and despite having a thought of upgrading it several times, I kept it. The original receiver developed an issue of turning off every few hours (a board had to be replaced) and a local authorized repair shop did it for free (it was within a 2 year warranty). I connected my home PC system via SPDIF digital and it works flawlessly. All the features I need I can get from the PC. In addition to that I connected a $50 Wi-Fi frame that can play radio over the internet and it works amazingly well and has great station search interface. So my needs are covered by an 8-year old receiver. I would highly recommend Onkyo.
