For the purpose of fair comparison receivers are traditionally rated at 8ohms. The TX-NR709 is rated as a 110w receiver (two channels driven from 20-20khz at 8ohms) which is how it should be listed. I don't understand why someone at Ben's has a "thing" for hyping products by using 6ohm specs.

Anyway it's a good deal on a fine receiver.
It's using the wrong photo. It looks more like the NR708.
I have badass Yamaha receiver for less $200 at best buy. love it
