This is an awesome receiver but I am waiting for the 706 to drop in price, which will be a while.
Very, very tempting. But I think I'll just wait for a BD home theater in a box combo.
If you can't use the HDMI for audio from a blueray player then what good is this unit having HDMI inputs? Might as well run the HDMI straight down to the TV from the player. What good does it do to buy this and hook up 7.1 sound if you can't use it. I don't get it.
