    Link's working now, except it's $194.

I wouldn't buy components unless they're Onkyo. Always best feature set and sound quality for the money.

For example, I recently bought an early-90s tape deck as a replacement deck on eBay (c'mon, only $34 shipped, and my "classic" car only has a tape player). My ancient tapes sound AMAZINGLY better on it than they did on my dead non-Onkyo deck.

If you're in the market for a home theatre receiver, this is a great deal for a great Onkyo component.

#2, good point that Onkyo USED to be a decent manufacturer. Have you ever wondered where all the refurbished products at shoponkyo come from?

Am I reading those specs, correctly? It does NOT pass HDMI audio through? (In other words, you need separate audio connections for your HDMI sources?)

#4 yes this is correct. The HDMI passthrough is only good for passing the audio out the HDMI to the TV but does not play it though the speakers. You'd have to hook up an extra optical for this which to me is a deal breaker.

Thanks, Malarrya....Can anyone recommend one that does pass through HDMI audio & video? Also, has anyone seen one with an HDMI port on the front-face of the unit?
