eCost.com has the refurbished Onkyo TX-SR605 7.1 Channel Home Theater Receiver for $269 + $23 shipping = $292 shipped. This beats the $349 refurb deal we listed yesterday from Onkyo themselves. [BizRate]
90 Watts per Channel to 7 Channel Surround, AM/FM Radio Tuner
Preprogrammed Remote Control, iPod playthrough option, XM Ready, HDMI
The actually price is 319. I dont know why it is like that, but I purchased it anyway. It is temporary out of stock
I'm sure we'll see more of these in the months ahead. I know secondact.com has alot of onkyos and sometime they discount them heavily.
Thanks #2. Somehow I am a fan of Onkyo. That was my first receiver and it was great for Karaokeing.
I am really dissappointed with my current Onkyo. I got a similar deal on a similar model, but I think the previous year's model. I had a lower end Sony ES that got struck by lightning and died, and the Onkyo sits quietly in the shadow of my old receiver. This receiver is good on clarity, but completely lacking in punch, where the Sony excelled at both and had a smorgasboard of amazing features. Keep in mind also, that the Onkyo second room feature doesn't work with digital sources, and there is no A+B option. This is a major flaw in my eyes. It basically renders the feature useless.
