Nothing wrong with refurbished onkyo as long as tehy are factory refurb. I don't trust ecost to actually refurb anything, I'd put money down saying that these are just open box.
Except they also sell open box items, so why wouldn't they say it is open box, not a refurbished unit? Onkyo or one of their authorized repair companies probably 'refurbish' the units... not a distributor like ecost...

Ordered this last wee. Received it in 3 days. Looks factory new to me. Works perfect.
I upgraded from an older Kenwood 5.1 system. I could not be more happy. Seems like I got way more then I paid for on this one.
I set it up with a set of $200 Fluance speakers. If looking for a super deal on well made affordable speakers check out Fluance.com. I can't believe the quality of both the build and sound for the price.

This is not a bad model at all. If you are looking for the higher end of Onkyo, then search for Integra.
