What is Club onkyo all about. Do I have to pay to be in it. Is there an initiation?

Great unit. Excellent sound and excellent reviews. CNet's editor's choice.

#20, you have a different model. The 605 was just released this year (in July I believe). The 605 (705 and 805) are all new and have HDMI switching capabilities.

#20, this is not a Onkyo HTIB. This rcvr just came out early this year. I happen to have one, the unit is unbelievable for the price. Too bad the product is no longer availabe at Onkyo when you click on the link.

I am surprised so many people like this one. I bought one, and I am very dissappointed with it. I switched from a Sony STR-DB930 and that receiver was so many times more powerful than this receiver. The music wasn't just loud, but had more punch and clarity. With the Onkyo, I feel like the sound is very harsh and almost like I am missing half the instruments becuase it just doesn't reproduce the sound as well.
Another complaint is that I have various equipment plugged in using different inputs, and was hoping to switch on the receiver only because my projector can sense which inputs are on and which are off, but this seems to always send a signal through the analog inputs so they override on the projector.
