If you have speakers sensitive enough, a 1-watt amplifier can shake your neighbor's walls down. 5 will shake down the entire neighborhood.

#1, I believe you are thinking of Sony Recievers

Actually, I replaced a Sony ES that was fried by a bolt of lightning with this one, and this thing sucks. The sound is clean, but the features are limited, and there is really no punch to the sound. Even if you turn up the volume, or bass, or whatever, it just seems weak. The other major problem is that it has a second room feature where it says you can play any source in a second room while you play any source in the first room, but this feature doesn't work with digital sources, so it sucks too; I would rather just have an A,B,A+B switch like the Sony had. I highly recommend avoiding this unless it is just for your garage, which is where mine is headed. Of course in that situation you are spending way too much money.
