**AVOID OOMA ** Not only is this a poor deal (I've seen new Ooma Telos for $99), Ooma is one of the worst companies I've had the misfortune to work with. The bottom line is that if you need to port your existing phone number, they will take your money and never do the port.
#1. My number ported from Vonage just fine. In two days from the time I placed my order.
I love OOMA. The call quality is great. The features like phone number blacklists and bluetooth integration are awesome. I don't think I can go back to Vonage or Verizon now.
When porting don't cancel the existing holder of your phone number. Only cancel AFTER the porting is complete.
