eBay with Buy.com has the refurbished Ooma Telo VoIP - Free Home Phone Service with Unlimited U.S. Calling, Caller-ID, Call-Waiting, 911 & Voicemail with No Monthly Fee for $155 with free shipping. Works with any corded or cordless phone; easy installation with no computer required.
I have the older Ooma system and am satisfied with the service but am wondering about purchase of a $50 non-proprietary VoIP box and using Google Voice instead.
I have the original Ooma box and pay no fees or taxes at all. It's a completely free service. I suggest trying to get one of the original boxes. Google Voice might not be free in 2013.
I picked this system up when it was on W00t. So far, it's been great. I ported my number, dumped AT$T, disconnected the phone company from my house wiring, and have Ooma connected to my existing phone setup. It works great. If you decide to "Premium" at a yearly fee, it's *still* cheaper than using your local telco. I'm pretty happy with mine. Oh, and it was refurbished as well.
Obi for me! Maybe Google will charge someday, but in any case their are a number of services you can choose. With Ooma you are stuck with them no matter what with that hardware.
Works well, $3.50 a month for taxes and fees, listen to voice mails online if you like, configure account online.

Guys can you tell me more about Obi? I search Amazon and found Obi100 and Obi110, Do I need both to replace my phone line?
No you only need one of them. I got the 110 and it works great but I'm sure the 100 is just as good. Obi all the way! Free phone for everyone!
