This is a good deal! I have been using one of these for a few months and it works flawlessly..it's just like Vonage except the only charge is a 3 dollar FCC tax each month. It works as advertised, and you can kiss your phone bill goodbye.
I agree #1, I have had this for over a year and it has been great. I forked over the $100 for the premimum service but it is still less expensive that paying AT&T $75 a month.
bought one of these from best buy about a month ago. I'm waiting for my number to finish porting so I can go from $25 bucks a month to $4.00. Can't wait!
I have the hub/core w/ $0 fees. I pay an extra $100/year for premier (for next 2 years, then $120/year). LOVE ooma. I get an email with all voice mails attached as .mp3 files. Very useful. Also love that AT$T is not getting any of my money.
Waiting for my number to port over. Still need to figure out how to configure my Actiontec 701 DSL modem/wireless QoS so the Ooma gets priority. Also, the Ooma is blocking traffic between my wireless network and my wired network. I should be able to port forward around that, but that's another pain to deal with.
You can also use Google Voice with the hub/scout, it just doesn't have the full-on integration you get with the Telo. You still get the voicemail-tbaconext feature from GV without having Ooma Premier.
#9, is your Ooma in front or behind your router? I had issues until I moved it out front. You may have reasons not to do that, but it worked for me.

"Free" to me is I don't have to pay anything. They will hold your credit card information, and not to mention $12/yr for recover regulatory fee.
You could try and find a Core (Hub/Scout) system somewhere which doesn't require you to pay the FCC tax.
Radio Shack is running the old (Hub/Scout) for $199 right now that #4 is talking about.
That is what I have and it is the bomb. Zero monthly fees with the old stuff.
1+ years for me with no problems and NO phone bill.
