While they used to be a good brand, they are no longer. Get a Deka Intimidator, Diehard Platinum (has to be Platinum - made by Odyssey), Kinetik, XS Power, Odyssey, etc. if you want a good battery. If you don't care about the quality of your battery then go ahead and skip those, but no reason to buy an Optima either in that case.
What is bad about Optima? I never had one of these type and I need new one.

Batts. are a crap shoot. I've seen whole skids w/ defects. WM batts or any others made by Johnson are OK for half what these Optimas cost. CR does NOT like these either.
You may be right Suednim. I had battery that lasted only 2 years and another that lasted over 7 years on same type of battery on same car.
What's bad? High rates of premature failure. And Dave, the point is that this is a crap battery for premium money.
^ links? I'm not entirely agreeing that it's "premium money" when discounted to $126, but if you know of a better battery for no more than say 110% of $126, that's highly appropriate info.
