I don't own this, but I have an older model. These are fantastic. Don't waste a $1000 bucks on a big TV when you can get this and have an absolutely huge, perfect image projected on the wall.
My older, non HD unit was $400 and I have it set up for an 84" image with surround sound and it is fantastic. No need to buy an expensive screen either; I custom made mine for about $25 using 1/4" hardboard and white paint applied with a roller.
I've had this model for 3 years now (paid $1000) and couldn't be happier. a couple of things to know: the lens is pretty much "fixed" in that you want a huge image then the projector has to be back from the screen quite a distance, mine is back 24' to get a 14' wide image. The projector was designed to sit on a table so if you set it up high on a back wall you will have to prop up the back end a few inches to to square up the image, and the "Keystone" adjustment will only allow you to get the image almost square. Through trial and error mine mine is mounted 6' off the floor with 2" of Legos propping up the back feet. My "screen" is just the white painted wall but it looks excellent. unless you have dark shades in your Theater room you won't be watching anything on a sunny day.
Overall I am very happy with the unit and have recommend it to others.
I bought the same projector off woot for about the same price a year ago. We love it. @rockinmo, there's a setting in the menu that lets you rotate the image 180 degrees, so you can mount the projector upside down on the ceiling at the back of the room without having to deal with the keystone adjustment.
