NewEgg.com has the new P3 International P4460 Kill A Watt Electricity Usage Detector for $40, with free shipping with coupon code EMCABAKBA [Exp 1/15]. It improves upon the original P4400 (which is included in this kit as well) by providing direct energy cost calculations so that you can see how much your plug-in gadgets cost to leave on.
"It improves upon the original P4400 (which is included in this kit as well)..."
Huh? From NewEgg it appears to be just one (P4460), not two.
Yeah weird description, but seems a bit pricey, I got mine for around 25 - though they are useful. People should be knowledgeable about how much energy they use, like their quad core PC which may take at least 200 watts to run!
whats with the 'international'? does it contain adapters for plugs from different countries?
Nope #3, sorry
Wow, check out this Kill-A-Watt power strip at Amazon.com:
http://www.amazon.com/P3-International-P4320-Kill-Watt/dp/B000UKSESK/
Operating Voltage: 115 VAC
Max Voltage: 125 VAC
It's really not 110~250V. International is just the brand name
Would like to see how a PC with 800 watt power supply, 1500 watt heater, and 1000 watt speaker system running on a 42" LCD cost per hour?
don't buy this stuff and save you $40. i bought this a while ago, used once, and now it's collecting dust somewhere.
if you just want to know how much of the current, why don't you buy a clamp meter and it's professional.

Not worth twice the price of the original version.
That 800 watt power supply will cost virtually nothing to run if you don't put a load on it. Same with the 1000 watt speakers if you don't crank up the volume.
#9 clamp meter is useless if your power draw is not constant. This one shows you how many kWH you use over a period of time. I have the original P4400 and I know how to use a calculator, so I don't see the need for this.
As for power strip, interesting product, but I can have my power strip plugged into a P4400.
#9 Hummm, when I used to use these I had to seperate the "white" and "black" wires and clamp it around just one. This one says,
"measures AC current without opening or otherwise disturbing the circuit"
I doubt it. If they just measure the magnetic field around the conductor, the "white" cancels the "black" and you read zero.
