Palm tried to come out with an ipone
Knock Knock.
Who's there?
Bacon.
Bacon who?
and instead continued to show their irrelevance. So long, palm. We'll see you see again at the bankruptcy hearings.
i think sprint makes you have plan including data if you want a smartphone on their network. according to sprint they are doing you a favor taking $30-40 more a month from you.
The UI and usability is leaps and bounds above the iPhone. Unless you just want to play games. I get tons more done, faster on my Pre.
The Pre is actually a really, really good device. The free Sprint Nav software, the network that is much better than AT&Ts and multitasking make it a really great phone.
i know BBs require a 30$ data plan on top of a regular phone plan but i don't think the palm pre does.... i thought people were using it with just the sero plan. the os is pretty nice. i just installed it on my mogal.
suck mi webos
i like my pre with a total of 5 lines on the data family plan + my company discount
for the combination of the phone, service, and price - it can't be beat
You can't use a Pre with a SERO plan, unless you are REALLY lucky. Sprint forces a Everything Data. Wife and I share a 1500 minutes, everything data for just over $100, with discounts. Just added on a Palm Pixi for another $20/month.
I have this phone. It's a great phone, but it's very fragile so treat it as so.
And in regards to Sprint and #2: Sprint is the most affordable network. Everything is included in your plan and it still comes out to be cheaper than verizon/at&t. Yeah, they make you get the data plan for a smartphone, but verizon and at&t push a data plan on you AND a $30/month for their "blackberry" or "iphone plans".
Plus the palm pre comes with a lot. Great nav, free tv, good browser, a growing application database, a nice keyboard/screen, etc.
I have the phone and it seems to work well for me. You have to look after it. Doesnt seem the most durable, but user interface is good.
I like WebOS even more than I like my Pre, and I like the Pre as a device just fine. My limited minutes plan w work discount is comparatively excellent. I call other mobile phones 90% of the time ('cept you, Mom. HI!) and Sprint's unlimited mobile to any mobile means I can choose the cheaper 450 minute plan and really never run out. (unless mom calls and tells a 451 minute story)
$420 instant rebate should tell us all something about the high mark up of phones.
ha, #1 you got owned by responses...
