Windows Mobile - like running WIN98 on your phone, but slower and with more crashes.

I've owned my first (and only EVER) Windows Mobile based phone (HTC Fuze) for a little over a year now, and its incredible lack of performance and endless bugs and issues (requiring a reboot every few days) are everything I've come to know and love about Microsoft operating systems.

When my contract is up in about 10 months, I will dump the thing like it was on fire.

If you value your sanity, do NOT buy a Windows Mobile based phone.

I had this phone for just under two weeks before returning it. The OS is plenty fast, and I did not have any lockups or other significant performance problems. Unfortunately, though, the call quality is just awful. There was an audible hiss any time I made a call without a headset, with a BT headset or with the included wired headset. I gave Skype a try, too, but it seems that the CPU just couldn't handle it--audio was consistently choppy and fuzzy.

#1 you are talking about WinMobile with HTC, not this Palm phone.
HTC hardware might have compatibility problem with the WinMobile OS.

#4 ive had the tmobile wing and mda as well as the verizon version of touch pro and touch pro 2(currently) and have not had any problems. The TP2 is easily the best phone i have ever had. Plenty of programs and options are avaliable for winmo.

I would recommend that the op reflash an update (or just do a hard reset) to the phone or take it to his carrier and have them look at it. I would bet that its a combination of his phone and not knowing how to properly use it and the carrier that is leading to the majority of issues. I have never had to soft reset every other day, i tend to do it about once a month just to refresh the unit, the people that i do know that have to do it generally have multiple apps running in the background and never close them out eventually using all the resources up and having multiple memory leaks. Pretty much all of the issues can be dealt with by jumping over to xda-developers.com and searching around the forums.

#1 doesn't know what he's talking about. I've been using WinMo for years on the original Samsung Blackjack. I have never had any issues and I'm currently using v6.1, which means even though my phone is old I have been able to freshen it with most of the meaningful features available in new phones sold today.

So, you can be a dumb chump and continually buy new phones that are abandoned by the manufacturer within a few months or you can buy a phone like this one that has an OS system that is community supported for years.

Does anyone know if this phone will work on T-Mobile's 3G network?
Also, per Dell website: "10% off deal excludes Treo Pro Unlocked Smartphone".
