would be nice if it was actually available anywhere...SD has had this 'deal' reported OOS just about everywhere for hours.

seems good, but only 720p, you would be frustrated after a year when you see this price on a 1080p.

GREAT PRICE, but over 99% of the HD program only 720p, I think 1080p still too advance for current trend. and 1080p only useful in blueray now. But after 1080p what other features can TV manufacture bring? Thinner? I doubt the higher resolution will make much of the difference in the future coz nobody gonna sit too close to a huge TV...

people sure are stupid. when will they learn that resolution is not even in the top 3 most important specs on a TV? not too mention that 720p is more than sufficient resolution on a small display (yes 42" is a small display) UNLESS they are sitting directly in front of it or using it as a PC monitor. As for #2, if you buy this set today for $600, and a 1080p model in a year or so for another $600 you will end up with 2 TVs for the price of 1 1080p set today. Don't see who would be frustrated with that.

What crap, the people who say 720p is good enough are those who own such tv's and are frustrated that they can't sell them.

I personally don't own a 1080 yet but I know how much difference it makes.

If I was frustrated with a new TV price a full year after purchase, that probably was a good purchase.

I own this TV, watch off air HD, watch Planet Earth through my HD player(hey, it's a cheap upconverting player!!),and I'm still amaze by the pic. Yes, I have seen a 1080p Sony hooked up to Blu-Ray, that was also amazing.
