    BTW, the Centrix deal listed by #8 qualifies you for a Monster portable speaker for iPods. Don't know if it's any good or if the Monster name is the same as the cable guys.

    AFAIK: only netbooks that have nVidia's ion chipset will be capable of bluray playback (with required software). Intel embedded graphics processors don't have the horsepower to do it.

    New cheapy laptops should mostly be fine. Cheapy laptops from a couple years ago... eeehhhh...

    But anyway, the Panasonic DVD drive in my laptop does not support lots of types of copy protection that some games use and has put me off of the brand.
