IDE???
I'DE like to have one.
Find me a slot-load version at this price. It'd make for a sweet HTPC.
Doesn't say what it works in. Are laptop optical drives universal? I didn't think so.
I would just worry about the outside bezel. I don't know if you can change that to match your laptop. It is my experience that the optical drives are still IDE connectors, so that shouldn't be an issue.
There are definitely sata blu-ray drives out for laptops, so that's an issue along with matching the bezel (as #5 said).
First better make sure your lappie has the horsepower to play Blu-ray, a lot of intergrated graphics won't cut it. Also this is a 12.7mm height drive, so it won't fit in 9.5mm slots.
