I've decided, that for me, I'm happy playing DVDs on my $60 Philips upconverting DVD player I bought at Costco. Of course, this may be related to the fact that DVDs looks so good on my big screen compared to 700MB xvid movies I watch on it, also with my Philips DVD player (or my Xbox 360). I DO get HDTV through DTV, FYI.

Much better than the Memorex crap. I would buy this before that.

This is a great price. Too bad it sold out like hotcakes.

I just got Blu-ray working on my HTPC. I only needed a new drive, CPU, OS, player software and video card. Very pretty though. Next time I'll get a player. Simpler than a HTPC and cheaper than a PS3.

I also only watch the movies (not that bloat/special features).

Wow, the ni99er that runs this site deleted my previous comment...I guess he doesn't like alternative views.

I agree with #61. If you hold back a little, just like gasoline, the prices on these blu-ray players will plummet. If they want to really sell a lot of blu-ray discs, they should give these out free just like printers where they really make money on what feeds them.

Wow, #66 - is that supposed to be a typical comment for a D!ck? And to think you wipe yourself (and whatever) with those same fingers you use to type...

(edit for oops - forgot about the filter. D!ck, carrot, whatever. They're all the same - classless.
