For about the same price, you can get the 7xxx series instead and get the Link-to-Cell feature...this allows you to join (via Bluetooth) up to 2 cell phones to your Panasonic system so that your cell calls will ring on the Panasonic handsets. I've had this for a few months and its great to not have to run for the cell phone to try and get it when it rings. Now, I just pick up the nearest Panasonic handset.
I 2nd what #1 says. I don't even have mine attached to a land line. Lets you charge your cell yet still get calls around the house.
