Like the Canon S5 IS, does this support photo stitching to create panoramic pictures, or support zooming in/out while filiming videos?

Even less than the wonderful 8MP FZ18. I understand that you can't zoom while filming, though that might not apply anymore. Biggest drawback: no auxiliary flash provision. In camera flashes notoriously underachievers.

Pros: Leica glass, F2.8, wide-angle, lightweight

Cons: Like all P&S, slow response, ISO above 400 of limited use.

    Still like my FZ8K.

How is this compared to the Nikon P80? My p80 shoots very good pictures, even with auto and zoomed.

Very nice camera, I'm not much of a photographer but I've taken some nice pics with this.

This is getting much better reviews than the Nikon P80.

I have had the FZ18 for a year, and am still convinced that this Panasonic line is the most bang for the buck available. I seriously considered going DSLR until I came to my senses and realized that for 99% of anyone's photographic needs these cameras fill the bill. If you're a professional photographer or REALLY serious hobbyist, perhaps the cost of a DSLR is justified.

I think for most casual users one biggest benefit of DSLR compared to Mega-Zooms is the ability to change lens.

The mega zoom lens are good all around lens, but if you need to do macro or other type of photos that require different lens you are out of luck.
