Ummm, I don't think #1 realizes who makes Kodak Point'n Shoot cameras. Wink

He also seems to be pretty ignorant of the type of lenses Panasonic uses on their Point'n Shoot. Wink

As far as lens quality and high zoom for a compact camera, Panasonic is one of the best ones out there. As opposed to what #1 said, I would run far far away from Kodak cameras, they're cheaply built and have poor picture quality. Their only benefit is that they're easy to use. Canon's sub-compact cameras are nice but for this type of camera (5x optical, Leica lens) I would say this is a very nice camera at a decent price.

#1 is an rodeo cowboy and obviously knows nothing about cameras. Most Panasonic cameras are well made and come with a Leica lens. I have 2 myself (FZ30K and FX100) Both take outstanding photos. For the money, they are hard to beat. However, the Nikons have been really coming along as the better cameras lately.

I was eyeing for TZ5 for some time, but I couldn't spend too much. Have a bigger Lumix and it's a good camera. Canon is good too but more expensive. Heard that Kodak breaks easily.

Kodak? They make good film back in the day...

Panasonic makes really nice digital cameras! They just dont advertise as much as Nikon, Canon, etc.

Don't own it, but have played with it and have seen the results...great camera for the price if you just want to have something to beat up and carry around with you.
