Great camera, very little control other than changing scene modes. Outstanding HD 720P video recording. Excellent wide angle. Nice LCD.
Eh....OK deal. I just picked up the TZ5 for $149.00
does this have hdmi?
#2, this is not just an OK deal, this is $10 away from the lowest price yet. and TZ5 is so 2008.
and #3, this one has a mini HDMI port, so you need to get the mini hdmi to regular hdmi cable for tv display.
ZS7 is shipping soon, same camera but with added GPS geotagging and also a mode switch moved to a better location. I'm waiting for that one to be discounted.
Did the fix the hd recording on these newer models? My TZ5 constantly blurs out when recording in HD

This is the best point and shoot I have ever own so far. Even takes great video. And yes it does have HDMI (need a mini-HDMI to HDMI cable... about $4 on eBay).

#6 That's called 'motion blur' or smearing. Yes, the ZS3 is just about king of the HD video in compacts and is much sharper and clearer than previous models, plus the AVCHD lite is way more efficient than AVI at storage.
#5 ZS7 also adds some manual controls so you're not just stuck with the built in scene modes. Price will stay high for at least 6 months unless it sucks.
I'm still using my TZ1 from 2007! Perhaps I should upgrade... though my camera is still going strong. Oh the indecisiveness!
6ave.com had this for $224 shipped last month. GD great camera. I like the HD video. i want my wife and kids to be able to take pix with this easy camera and it's easy to use. wish i could hack it like Canon cameras.
