I love how ben uses a picture from buy.com to sell a camera on sale at JR.com. Classic
What's worse - that or $400 - $20 = $280
These are on sale at Costco until Dec. 20. $249, which includes a leather case and a 2GB SD card. Another included bonus: 100 free 4x6 prints from Costco. Just picked one up last week. Sweet.
I'm with cameraz. Picked it up at Costco as well. Plus they have a 90 day return policy. Don't think you'll beat Costco's deal and especially for being a local B&M.
Retarded price. You could pay $280 any day, anywhere. This is NO DEAL.
I bought one at Costco a month ago for $300. Saw they lowered the price, took my receipt back to Costco and they did a price adjustment for the difference. Can't beat Costco for customer service!
Now that we have that out of the way...an excellent P & S, rich with features. My only criticism is that sometimes when you tweak the settings for a specific shot, you can forget to reset before your next use.
HD video is a great feature, but editing options are very limited because of the proprietary format Panasonic uses to record them.

No. Not any more. ZS3 records AVCHD-lite, which is essentially h.264. Most video editors can handle this now. But, you need a strong dual core or quad core PC with an excellent video card to get reasonable performance rendering the video.
In a pinch, you can fall back to the industry standard .AVI format that any editor or PC can handle.
