The actual price is $169.99. There is a promotion code for $80 off. Use PANAV500K12 when ordering.

I ordered one. Great deal! Returned a Hc-V500M for $339 to BB. The only difference is the internal memory of the "M."

I have a Nikon D5100 but am not thrilled with the video. Slow focusing and noise audible when the lens does focus.
That's why I bought the HC-V500M and returned it last night when I saw this deal. (Second comment above). The video was excellent, but there is a steep learning curve: 4:3 ratio or 16.1? What format to save videos? After extensive frisbee making I finally realized that you cannot burn HD on DVDs. Need Blu-ray. Want smoother zooming? Use touch screen buttons. Inadvertently touched manual record instead of auto and didn't turn on well.
What unsettles me is that there is only a 90 labor warranty. Battery life isn't great and Panasonic battery expensive.
