Been using mine for a week, no real complaints. Fairly easy setup, clear sound, ring tone options are bleak, and I haven't really tested the range; however, for this price, and as it's using regular AAA batteries (rather than some expensive proprietary package), you really can't lose.
watch out ecost.com They are selling 100% BROKEN refurbished and no money refund. They make you send the order back to them and take forever to return a crappy refurbish to you again. I experienced their shitty service and burp CSR talking on the phone with attitude. burp ecost.com
Bought this model from Frys a few weeks ago, no tax to TN, free ship. Easy setup, lots of options, phonebook can be shared with other handsets. Doesn't have call block feature of some Panasonic models. Good range, can go outside. I use this with Charter Telephone service since they only give one phone connection with the telephone adapter.
I have never bought from ecost so I have no opinion of them.

Thanks for the warning, I will now avoid ecost. I'm a big fan of customers screwing back.
The refurb PSP I got from them some time ago was pretty banged up, case separating and scratched screen. It works but I wouldn't exactly call it "refurbed". I'd avoid them for deals on ANYTHING that's gonna get hard use - cordless phones get thrashed!
You can avoid eCost's questionable refurbs and get this new for very little more. Frys has it for $80 with free shipping:

And if you prefer backlit keys, consider this Panasonic DECT model (currently sold out, but likely to be back in stock soon, if history is any guide):

eCOST is a scam artist formerly known to lure in folks with MIR that never worked. Now the MIRs are gone, but can a zebra alter its stripes? I do not want to find out.
