    i don't think the keypad is backlit on this model

    #1, frys is springing deals like this unexpectedly too. they have a three-phone set on sale now, unless it is sold out

    No. 3's correct: This model doesn't have a backlit keypad, a useful feature that's available for not much more money.

    They don't look that good but work really well. Panasonic makes the best cordless phones. I have 3 different Panasonic model phones in the house and never have any problems.

    I agree #7, prefer the backlit keypad too. Panny has it on some other models.
