I've got this set. The call sound quality is great, but their implementation of Link-to-cell leaves a lot to be desired.
If you use it in cell phone only mode (no landline), you have to tell it every time which cell phone to use which can be tedious, rather than just using the #1 line if present or going directly to #2 if #1 is not there. Every time you make a call, incoming or outgoing, the cell phone not in use has the bluetooth connection disconnected and reconnected when the call ends. If you are using the phone and some one wants to join the conversation on one of the other handsets, they have to tell it which cell line to hook up to even though there is only one and what else could it do but join the existing conversation.
I have a stand alone bluetooth gateway that I was using and gone back to having it in front of this unit and have set up the Panasonic to think that it is using a landline and all works fine.
As stated earlier, they just implemented the bluetooth usage badly.
Not sure if this is the same model but I just bought the 4 handset version from Costco. I have no issue with the bluetooth features. If you set it to cell phone only mode (no land line) yo can use it just like a normal phone. The only real annoyance is a slight delay when answering or placing calls (3 to 5 seconds). My experience has been different than anyoldjoe's above. Perhaps I have a more recent model.
