GF1 was a better camera.
The price will go down, Amazon etc are taking pre-orders for Lumix G3 with the same zoom for set price $699

@ cameraz, depends on what your needs are, the GF1 have more external controls which enthusiasts would like. But the GF2 is significantly smaller and much much cheaper, better suited for regular consumers. Giving that they have pretty much the same IQ, I would probably go with the smaller and cheaper camera in the GF2.
#4 have you heard of Leica ? If not, buy a Canon.
