Really tempted to buy this camera, used to be at $500 several months ago and difficult to find in stock. But seeing how quickly the price can drop on these things, I think I'd rather spend my money on a new lens for my dSLR instead
Dang! I paid $385 for mine from Abes of Main last week.
I paid $500 during the summer and needed it for my vacation and have no regrets. Best photos ever!
I paid ~$400 for mine in November or December '08. Also have no regrets. You cant get a Leica f2.0 lens on any other compact. Plus the full manual control and the larger sensor size... Low light performance is superb. My only complaint is the time limit imposed on the HD video by FAT file size.
Ships out in 3-4 weeks.
Bet it will be back ordered for longer than that.
