I have the older TZ3, I have taken it around the world, the wide angle and telephoto is great. 28-280 Leica lens. Takes SD cards.

I have the older tz1, and I love it. In almost all respects, this tz5 exceeds the older ones. The only area in which it is worse, with regard to the consumer is that it takes a bit longer to start up initially. This was not personally confirmed, but has been reported by others, purportedly to have owned both of the aforementioned models.

i have this Camera and the Canon SD880. If you are going to take pictures outdoor I recommend you this but for indoor or very low light conditions the Canon SD880 takes better pictures.
The best feature of this camera is the 10X optical zoom, menus and features are not as nice as the SD880 in my opinion.

I also have this camera as well as the Canon SD870 and agree with #6 about Canon being the better camera for low light indoor shooting.

The 10x optical zoom I agree is the best feature of this camera and why I bought it. Digital zoom with this camera is better than one might think, zooming to 40x can deliver some suppising results. I also have the Canon S5IS but like this smaller TZ5 when I don't want to lug around a camera bag with the larger Canon. Paid $219 for this last November.

I bought this camera at Christmas for $219. It is a nice camera and was released this year - 10X zoom, HD video and the 3" screen are great. Read all the reviews and they'll say this is a good camera to buy.
