I am not sure why this is such a good deal while the $810 Pana 50" P50S1 at Sears a couple of days ago is not as hot. This is only 16% larger in screen size while 48% more expensive. May be feature differences explain it.
Panasonic makes the best plasmas. Plasma offers truer blacks over LCDs. This is a good price, about $89 less than what it normally sells for. Saw it at Sam's Club for $1289 or something. If you are in the market for one, now is as good of time as any
For what it is, it's a great deal. If I had an extra $1,200 to blow on a TV, I'd be all over this (assuming I couldn't find a 50" Kuro for the same price - which I'm pretty sure is impossible.)
any objections to why this isnt a sweet deal?
yes, fist sized pixels
It's a Plasma!

This TV is a 1080P where as the sub $1000 TVs are generally 720p.
Good deal for a big-ass TV. Take that, LCDtards.

#5, I wouldn't make such mistake. They are BOTH 1080p. The P50X1 is 720p, but the P50S1 is 1080p. Go check the whole thread at the other site.

wow! that is huge!
That's what she said.
big TV, will be out of date in a few. suggest ignoring plasma, imho. lcd is where it at, foo.
